A 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Domaine Thomas with lush fruit characteristics and texture. The vineyard is run by the ninth generation of the family. Jean and his wife Ginette own 13 hectares at Verdigny, mostly planted to Sauvignon Blanc. The name “Le Pierrier” refers to the rocky slopes from where this wine is sourced, in calcareous rocky soils.
Light and bright with aromas of ripe citrus, grapefruit, crisp green apple, and wildflowers.
The mouthfeel is of a classic minerality with crushed rock and refined herbal notes. A very clean, fresh and flavoursome wine at a moderate 12.5% alcohol. This is as Sancerre should be - absolutely fresh and unadulterated by oak.
