A classic vintage with a touch of modern polish, showing the sort of confidence you’d expect from Nebbiolo that has spent a few years growing wiser in the bottle.
Appearance
Clear garnet with an evolved brick rim. The colour already hints at maturity, like a well-tailored suit that has seen a few good decades yet still fits perfectly.
Aroma
Lifted notes of dried cherry, rose petal, and a bit of tar. Subtle hints of leather, sweet tobacco, and a brush of forest floor linger behind the fruit. A faint whisper of anise keeps things lively.
Palate
Medium-plus body. The tannins are firm but civilized, as though they’ve had a stern talk with time and agreed to behave. Flavours follow the nose: cherry and red currant, dried herbs, earthy undertones, and a touch of savoury spice. Acidity is bright enough to keep everything standing straight. The finish stretches nicely, carrying dried flowers and a light mineral grip.
Overall Impression
A poised, traditionally framed Barolo showing early maturity while still holding plenty of structure. Ideal for slow dinners, thoughtful conversation, or impressing guests who pretend to know more about wine than they really do.
