Mauro Molino Barbera D'alba 2016
Bright crimson ruby in color, with spicy red fruit aromas showing notes of wild herbs and forest fruit. Juicy red fruit flavors in the mouth, with beautifully balanced acidity. A very friendly, easy drinking red with lovely fruit from start to finish.
“Dedicating myself completely to viticulture was the right choice: it gave me a lot, it made me gain expertise and knowledge of my vines, it made me produce wines that last over time and create labels that made my name known in the world.” Mauro Molino
"A delicious Barbera produced entirely in stainless steel. Loaded with ripe and lush dark red fruits all balanced with natural acidity. Molino's Barbera vineyards are in La Morra and are harvested typically between the middle to the end of September. Matteo and his father give the Barbera vines the same strict viniculture as the Nebbiolo vines, green harvest, canopy management and they will wait to harvest, will wait for the best time to get the Barbera perfectly ripe and balanced. Barbera typically isn't a complex wine, but this is a great example of how delicious it can be."
