Organically grown, the Chateau Marsau 2021 is a lovely Bordeaux Merlot. Produced in the far east of the Right Bank, at a 100 metres’ elevation, on clay rather than the region’s usual limestone. France's cooler climate has been an advantage in recent hot vintages and the vines adapted brilliantly to a cooler 2021. This vintage is full of pure spicy plum fruit, the palate is smooth and creamy, and finishes with a rewarding bounce of freshness.              Drink 2024-2032.

Paprika, red plums, mineral and a hint of cocoa powder. Medium body with fine, chalky tannins and an elegant, medium-long finish. Linear, fluid and pure. Nicely crafted. Pure merlot.
