The Pommard Clos des Epenots is one of the best terroirs of the appellation, classified as a Premier Cru. This 2020 is endowed with a beautiful substance, with power and silky tannins. A wine to be put in the cellar to be enjoyed with game or meat in sauce.

Tasting Notes

This Pommard Clos des Epenots 1er Cru 2020 from Château de Meursault has a dark purple colour. The nose evokes fruit, the minerality of the terroir and the woodiness of the ageing. A little aeration does it a lot of good to enjoy this beautiful aromatic bouquet. On the palate, we find the typicity of Pommard with power and concentration. The tannins are present, without being aggressive. The palate is carried by red fruits with a beautiful persistence. Ageing in the cellar for at least until 2024 is recommended to fully enjoy this wine.
