The AnCnoc Peated Sherry Cask Finish is a whisky from the Highland distillery of Knockdhu -established in1894 and one of the smallest and most enchanting in the Scottish Highlands. This is a peated spirit, which is only distilled for a short period each year and uses locally sourced Aberdeenshire peat. Created by Gordon Bruce, the Distillery Manager at Knockdhu,  

The AnCnoc Peated Sherry Cask Finish is a permanent addition to the range and combines the distillery’s peated and classic non-peated spirits. These were matured initially in American oak ex-bourbon casks before being married and finished in ex-sherry casks sourced from Jerez, Spain. It is bottled at 43% ABV.

Producers Tasting Note

Colour: Dark Amber

Nose: Sweet honey, tropical fruit, notes of cinnamon and rich toffee, delicate campfire smoke.

Taste: Toffee apples coated in warming spices, deep vanilla, a rich, sweet, smoky character. Long wood smoke, caramel, vanilla finish.
