Arcanum II Fauno 2013/2014
94 Points Robert Parker
A Bordeaux-style blend, il fauno di Arcanum embodies the diversity of the estate, and is sourced primarily from the Di Sotto, La Curva, Colombaio and San Giovanni blocks. Located in the lower southwest section of the estate, in a warmer, exposed subsection that ripens early, the soils possess a significant amount of clay, with good water retention, and produce wines that tend to be more voluptuous and lush.
Blend: 55% Merlot, 22% Cabernet Franc, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot
The Jackson family purchased the Tenuta di Arceno estate in 1994, with its sprawling 2,500 acres, of which only 223 are planted to vine. Cabernet Franc has proven to be the variety best suited to the estate’s diverse soils and topography, and is the true signature of the estate, as it thrives in both warm and cool vintages
A polished, flavorful red, boasting floral, black currant, raspberry and spice flavors. Firm yet harmonious, with the fine aftertaste lingering with fruit, iron, tobacco and tea elements. Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.

Aromas of blueberries with blanched almonds follow through to a medium body, firm tannins and a fresh finish. Better in 2018 but already delicious. A blend of merlot cabernet franc, cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot.
