Made from the Brunello clone of Sangiovese, oak aged for 3 years in Alliers barrels of various sizes (15, 33, 54 hl), then refined further in bottle for 6-8 months. The wine is an intense ruby red with pronounced aromas of red and dark berry fruit, vanilla and sweet leaf tobacco. The mouthfeel is full and generous with all components; fruit acid and tannin, well balanced. The finish is long and pleasantly tangy.
