This Chateauneuf-du-Pape is full-bodied and generous, with rich aromas of red and black fruit (cherry, strawberry, blackberry, blackcurrant), cocoa, pepper and fresh undergrowth. This generous fullness is balanced and supported by an elegant freshness and very silky, tight tannins. The finish is fresh, creamy and very fragrant with hints of fruit, cocoa and undergrowth, and above all very long. An immediate pleasure and a wine worth keeping.

The 2022 vintage is 50% Grenache, 28% Syrah, 20% Mourvèdre and 2% Muscardin that was brought up in very old barrels. Its deep ruby/plum hue is followed by a powerful nose of ripe black cherries, roasted garrigue, pepper and graphite. This carries to a richly textured, medium to full-bodied Châteauneuf-du-Pape that has a broad, layered mouthfeel, plenty of tannins, and a great finish. Give bottles 2-4 years and enjoy over the following decade.
