Célestiale has always been a lighter, early drinking Clos du Soleil red wine, with one foot in Bordeaux tradition and one foot in the reality of the wild, windy Similkameen Valley of BC. The 2022 is an unabashed Bordeaux blend mixing 44% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Malbec and 4% Petit Verdot. The fruit is fresh and ripe, pitching a mix of raspberry and blackberry blended in concrete seamlessly, preserving all the fruit. Richer beef or lamb dishes work here. Good value.
