Bodegas Lan Rioja Gran Reserva is a deep garnet-red with a ruby rim. Intense, with notes of ripe black fruit, figs and touches of dried fruit, mixed with intense spiced and smoky notes. Harmoniously well-balanced, with polished tannins that lead to a long finish marked by the aromas of black fruit and spices.

Lan built its Gran Reserva mostly on old-vine Tempranillo, with a small addition of Mazuelo for extra lift, aged long enough in Rioja's cellars to soften every rough edge. Dried cherry and a savoury, leathery depth carry real elegance. Age has smoothed the tannin into something silky rather than gripping. A note of dried herbs lingers after the last sip.
