Juan Gil Silver Label Organic Monastrell, the Gil Family Flagship wine, is sourced from estate Monastrell vineyards aged an average of 52 years. Maceration and fermentation in stainless steel tanks before being transferred to French oak barrels for malolactic fermentation and 12 months aging. Ripe dark berries and cherries, floral notes and a touch of smoke. Rich with silky tannins on the mid-palate and a long, spicy finish with lingering juicy fruit. Winemaker notes

The 2022 Silver Label is a wine that aims to promote the quality and potential of Monastrell. It has a paler color and a subtler and more floral nose, keeping the poise and showing surprisingly fresh for the conditions of the year. It's ripe, reflecting the warm and dry weather, with 15% alcohol but very good freshness, coming through as balanced and harmonious, clean and pure. This is a bargain and a success for the year, a champion in drinkability.Â
