Top 10 Tasting Rooms to Try This Summer

Thinking about trying out some new wines this summer? Here is our take on the top 10 tasting rooms where you can experience incredible wines, wonderful hospitality, and camaraderie you only find alongside people who love wine as much as you do.

1. Kitsch

Kitsch's tasting room is known as the Estate Garage, and the experience is as laid-back as the name suggests. The education aspect is still on point, though, as are the sustainably grown wines you can sample while learning about the winery's history and listening to some super chill tunes.

2. Mt. Boucherie

Mt. Boucherie offers wine tasting with a view thanks to a stunning backdrop that includes Okanagan Lake and some of British Columbia's most breathtaking mountains. Tasting options include two different flight styles and wines from across the property's portfolio.

3. Cedar Creek

Cedar Creek focuses on organic farming and wines that are vibrant, bright and true to the North Okanagan terroir. They offer tastings as well as vineyard tours, food and wine pairing experiences, and even a summer concert series.

4. Arrow Leaf Cellars

Be spontaneous and drop by Arrow Leaf's tasting bar to sample their choice of four wines from the estate's portfolio, or make a reservation for a private seated group tasting for a more in-depth experience. If you have the opportunity, definitely try Summerstorm, Arrow Leaf's unique sparkling rosé.

5. Gray Monk Estate Winery

Gray Monk Estate has been a mainstay on the BC wine scene since the Heiss family first pursued their wine dream in the early 1970s. Now visitors can experience Gray Monk in person courtesy of walk-in or stand-up tastings or appointments in the Beautiful Estate Room.

Gray Monk is a child-friendly winery. Just mention your children and their ages when making your booking.

6. 50th Parallel Estate

Since 2019, Curtis Krouzel and Sheri-Lee Turner-Krouzel have grown 50th Parallel from a mere 10 acres of vines to a 50+ acre property plus a restaurant, dedicated event spaces and a glass wine tasting room. You can tour the estate's wine cave or book an ambassador-guided tasting. Reservations generally have an eight-person minimum.

7. Summerhill Pyramid Winery

Everything comes back to biodiversity at Summerhill Pyramid Winery, a property that includes the only Demeter-certified biodynamic winery in British Columbia. The Cipes family is very generous with their time and access to the vineyard, offering guests wine tasting opportunities 7 days a week. You can book full house rentals for special events and organic food is served at the Summerhill Organic Bistro.

8. Quails' Gate

Quails' Gate is one of the most renowned wineries in Canada, with over six decades of experience and impact on the Okanagan Valley wine scene. Visitors get to sample four award-winning wines from either the Estate Selection or the Reserve and Distinction collection, all while soaking up the view of the nearby lake and mountains.

9. Mission Hill Family Estate

Mission Hill offers four impressive tasting experiences, including a behind-the-scenes tour and sampling, a vineyard walk with a food and Legacy Collection wine pairing, an ambassador-led tasting in Mission Hill's exclusive member lounge, and a cellar tour and Loggia Garden pairing experience.

10. Liquidity

Liquidity's tasting room, which overlooks two of the winery's gorgeously scenic vineyards, features a single "Taste of Okanagan Falls" offering that includes a guided five-wine flight (with extra options available for wine club members).
