Product of a great vintage for Bordeaux, the Chateau Latour-Martillac red 2018 presents a beautiful and very intense colour in the glass. The nose is very expressive, seducing with notes of ripe blackberries (blackcurrant) and cherry flavours, and evolving licorice notes. The bouquet is beautifully complemented with floral notes, reminiscent of peony. On the palate, the wine reveals a juicy texture and powerful tannic structure, while maintaining a perfect balance. The long finish offers beautiful aromatic notes. A hauntingly beautiful 2018 vintage for Chateau Latour-Martillac.
Made from a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), complemented by Merlot (32%) and Petit Verdot (8%), the Chateau Latour-Martillac red 2018 displays all the distinctive qualities of a great red wine from Pessac-Leognan.
Deep garnet-purple coloured, the 2018 Latour Martillac bursts from the glass with bold cassis, chocolate-covered cherries and plum preserves scents followed up by smoked meats, violets and aniseed hints plus a waft of Provence herbs. Full-bodied, firm and fine-grained in the mouth, the palate is laden with juicy fruit and savoury layers, finishing long and fragrant.
