"The 2015 Marquis d'Alesme Becker is one of the best wines I have tasted from this resurgent estate in the heart of Margaux. Ample and inviting, the 2015 possesses superb richness throughout." 91-94 Points - Antonio Galloni
Created in 1585 by Francis of Alesme, the area has remained in the same family until 1803. Then he had a succession of owners until 2006 with the arrival of the Perrodo family, also head of the Castle Labégorce Margaux. This is where the Château Marquis Alesme began its revival to brilliantly win the noble status of Grand Cru. The necessary resources have been implemented: a quality team under the direction of Maurice Marjolaine de Coninck, work in the vineyard with plot redistribution, full restoration of production facilities ... And the arrival of the oenologist Michel Rolland to follow the vinification.
The 15 hectares of vines are planted on a beautiful terroir extremely varied, consisting of silicas, serious, marl, clay and limestone.
The wines are aged in oak barrels, 65% new. Assemblages of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%), Merlot (30%), Cabernet Franc (7%) and Petit Verdot, they show dense and full, charming, with nice fruit expression.
