Are you ready to go back to school?

 

​Now that summer is over, are you ready to go back to school? We have a great selection of wine and whisky education classes starting in September!

Wine Basics 101 - Our Trusted Experts, Michael Bigattini & Gerry Buchner, will share their wine knowledge from around the world in an interactive and fun learning environment. Be ready to laugh, as you learn about the wine basics in our festival cellar. Previously conducted over 7 weeks, this course is now compressed into 6 Sundays.

Whisky Basics - Learn your “Whisky Basics” with renowned Trusted Expert, David Michiels. David will present the basic level of scotch tasting and move into more advanced levels throughout the month. Learn the history and varieties of scotch on the market; taste six scotches each night and work your way through the world of scotches!

WSET Level 1 - This course runs over two evenings and give students a straight forward introduction to wine. After completing this course, students will meet workplace wine service standards, and be able to handle basic customer inquiries. It is a highly interactive program that will introduce you to many aspects of the wine world including wine types, wine styles, wine tasting, grape varieties and wine & food pairings.

WSET Level 2 - ​This course runs over nine evenings and is meant for students who have completed WSET Level 1, as the program is designed to build upon the fundamentals learned in the first course. You'll be taking a basic look at viticultural and vinification techniques, storing wine & spirits, and diving in to the principles of food and wine pairings.  Each class will include tastings of the benchmark wines discussed in each lecture!
