Halloween Cocktails

BOOZY APPLE CIDER

Ingredients:
  • 1 gal. apple cider
  • 1 1/2 c. whiskey, preferably Fireball
  • 1/2 c. Caramel
  • cinnamon sticks, plus more for garnish
  • apples
  • lemon juice, for brushing

 Instructions:

  1. In a Crock-Pot, combine apple cider, whiskey, cinnamon sticks, and caramel. Cook on low until warmed through, about 2 to 3 hours.
  2. Make apple cups: Slice off the top of each apple. Use an apple corer to remove the inside of the apple until you’re about 1/2" from the bottom of the apple. Squeeze lemon juice inside the apple cups to prevent apples from browning.
  3. Ladle hot cider into apple cups. Garnish with cinnamon sticks, and serve immediately.

"RISEN FROM THE GRAVE"

Ingredients:
  • 3 oz. Absolut Citron vodka
  • 2 oz. St. Germain
  • handful ice
  • 1/4 oz. strawberry puree
  • Strawberry and mint leaf (for garnish)

 Instructions:

  1. Combine the vodka and St. Germain in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake.
  2. Pour strawberry puree into the bottom of a martini glass. Top with the vodka-St. Germain combination.
  3. Garnish drink with a strawberry and a mint leaf.

THE RAVEN

Ingredients:

  • 6 fresh blackberries
  • fresh mint leaves
  • 1.5  fl oz. shot white rum
  • 1/2 cup cranberry juice

Instructions:

  1. In a cup or shaker, mash 3 blackberries (just enough to get the juice) and mix with mint leaves.
  2. Add shot of rum and ice, then shake.
  3. Pour into wine goblet (glass) Add cranberry juice and sugar (to taste).
  4. Put 3 blackberries on a bamboo pick (or tooth pick), and lay pick across the top of the goblet.
  5. Garnish with mint sprigs.
