What To Do In YYC

Celebrate summer in the city this August. With so much going on you'll be able to choose how busy or lazy you want your days and nights to be. Below is a list of some of our Trusted Expert Team's favourite things to do that are all close to home.  Cocktail anyone?

Shakespeare by the Bow – Princess Island Park

One of Calgary’s premier outdoor events. This year Theater Calgary brings you Shakespeare’s story of love and friendship as they presents As You Like It. With both afternoon and evening performances happening through to August 27th there’s no reason not to pick a beautiful day and enjoy this outdoor event, so grab a blanket and head out to the park.

Brunch at Briggs

We love lots of things about brunch at Briggs Kitchen + Bar but one of our favourites is that you don’t have to wait until Sunday, they have brunch on Saturdays too! With a hearty menu of delicious dishes to choose from make sure you go hungry and definitely check out their signature cocktail list to make your brunch experience completely outstanding!

Drinks and Dinner by the Pool

That vacation feeling awaits you at the hidden gem of an experience poolside at Hotel Arts. The pool is located in the courtyard of the hotel which keeps it protected and is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of bubbly and great people watching. You’re sure to feel like you’re living the life at a Miami hot spot and you haven’t even had to book a flight.  Be sure to always check the website to ensure that the space is not closed for a private function before heading down.

Live Music and Dancing at Vintage

Have a great dinner at Vintage Chop House and Tavern is always a given but did you know that they have one of the hippest places in town when the live music comes on at 10pm Friday and Saturday nights? If you’re looking for a fantastic evening that includes outstanding cocktails and highlights some of Calgary’s most talented musicians.

Canmore Brewery Tour

The Grizzly Paw Brewery tour is a great reason to get out of the city. Whether you have company in town and are looking for something fun to do or you just have never been we highly recommend a drive to Canmore. Be sure to book ahead and plan on staying for lunch at their marvelous pub which is kid friendly so the whole family can enjoy.
